Mattias...Your Genius Is Showing!

Mattias is an amazing kid. He is funny, smart and best of all imaginative. I was in his class recently and was truly proud of his writing that was displayed on the wall of his second grade classroom:

The rolling hills and the rising sun
The children at school playing and waves flowing in the river
The moist water in the river and the wooden bridge
The tasty food at McDonald's and the baker baking at the bakery
The bumpy bark on the trees and the cold metal poles on the signs

This boy is a genius in my eyes, but as a proud father I suppose I am not very objective :-)

Justin's Jams - See Video At Bottom of Blog!

We are all a bit bummed Justin can't make the California trip but he's a working man now. He is staying behind to gain more responsibility for his swim instructor job at the community pool. He works with kids and is getting certified as a lifeguard.

Justin has many talents and music is one of them. I wish you could sit and listen to him play his guitar and piano so we thought this would be the next best thing. We shot video of him playing his guitar. The first two songs are pieces he composed and the last song is his cover of Jimi Hendrix. Don't mind Mattias or the dogs in the background. We didn't turn on the "RECORDING" sign :-)

Who would have ever thought this 6'4" basketball player, who has no formal tranining, would rock this way! We bought him his first guitar in 5th grade not knowing he would take to it so naturally. Dare To Dream........Its Not Impossible!
